🥳I'm still celebrating 18 months of Tweetables and continuing to revisit some of the authors who have featured on the blog so far, just to find out what they've been up to!
I completed an interview with the lovely Jess back in October 2022 and was keen to find out what had happened since our chat.
'I have a few new books out. First up, my zombie duology: Odoru, The Dance of Death, and its sequel, Odoru, Rebellion. What happens when a virus turns ninety percent of the world's population into zombies? For students Carl Silverman and Amanda Worthington, their world is turned upside-down. School's out, survival is in.
In fact, survival is everything, but it always comes at a price. (Link): Amazon.com:Odoru: The Dance of Death eBook : Frankel, J.S.: Kindle Store
In Odoru, Rebellion, Carl's back with a new girlfriend, Miranda, a vampire. Another virus has sprung up, turning forty percent of Earth's survivors into vampires. Unlike their fictional counterparts, these vamps exist on artificial blood, but they're segregated but the authorities. It isn't quite apartheid, but it's close. To make matters worse, a new street drug is killing humans and vampires alike, and the young couple is caught in the middle when they search for who's behind it all. And, of course, the zombies are still there... (Link): Amazon.com:Odoru: Rebellion eBook : Frankel, J.S.: Kindle Store
Another novel that will be released at the end of September--but is on preorder now--is The Backup Crew. When superheroes are no longer needed, some of them fade away, some turn to a different line of work, while others...turn evil. Zander Nelson and Millie Lennet, former teammates and lovers, have broken up, but when Zander is almost killed by a bomb and when Millie's apartment is also destroyed, they realize that someone has a vendetta against them. In a race against time, they search for the killer, and when they do learn who it is, it comes as the shock of the century! (Link): Amazon.com:The Backup Crew eBook : Frankel, J.S.: Kindle Store
My goodness, he's been so busy and they all sound so exciting! So how abut the future, does he have any more books in the pipeline?
Yes, The Replacement should be out by the end of the year, but there's no timeline on it as of this writing.
Lorne Kimbrel, eighteen, needs money and he needs it fast. His parents have died, he's in debt, working part-time in a fast food restaurant, and his only talent outside of cooking is hurling knives and objects with unerring accuracy. When a man named Dass comes around with an offer that's too good to be true, Lorne takes it...only to wind up as a cook on a starport in a distant galaxy. He adjusts over time, befriends a woman named Mikidra (Miki) Menorkana, and they fall for each other. However, a race called the Outliers, a hideous group of ghouls, presents a real threat, and before long, Lorne finds himself in the fight of his life!
As for other novels, I'm about halfway through another zombie novel, I've finished The Destiny Equation--a fantasy about fate, destiny, fortune telling, and parallel Earths. It's on submission, as is And The Devil Take Ye, a YA Fantasy about a devil and angel teaming up to save the world. We'll see what happens with them.
